The 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor can do this, yes. We can configure different count lines to capture specific areas from the coverage zone or foot traffic directions. These software features are available in STANDARD, RETAIL, and REAL-TIME Plans.
Though the 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor needs to “look” downwards, it can be installed above a passageway and tilted using a variable tilt angle. The system supports flexible mounting options, and calibration is required after installation. This tilting feature allows for capturing accurate passer-by information in certain cases where a standard overhead mounting is not possible.
The same network cable (standard cat5 cable) will also power the camera. That’s why we include the Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Injector. In short: you’ll only need one cable for everything to work.
The 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor supports video recording for count verification. These recordings can be used for audit purposes. While the system offers continuous video streaming, it’s not required for traffic counting and is optional.
You can. Up to ten 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor cameras can be connected to work as one in extra wide zones or entrances.
The 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor is preconfigured to send data over the Internet through encrypted connections using HTTPS and other protocols such as TCP and FTP. The camera sends only traffic counts and status information, ensuring minimal network bandwidth usage.
It connects using a network cable. The 3D SCOPE II LC comes DHCP-enabled. As soon as it’s powered on, the camera will report to our server. You can then book your calibration with us. Write down the M.A.C. address (indicated on the 3D SCOPE II LC and the packaging). We’ll use it to identify your device when connecting to the software. If you wish to receive the 3D SCOPE II LC with a specific I.P. address, please contact us.
The 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor requires a network cable for both power and data. Since the system uses Power over Ethernet (PoE), connecting the camera to a wired network is generally straightforward. Unlike the PEARL People Counter, the 3D SCOPE II LC People Counter is typically installed vertically, looking downwards, which makes network setting adjustments easier when connected via cable. The unit can also be connected to a Wi-Fi bridge but must still be powered through PoE.
We don’t recommend using the 3D SCOPE II LC Outdoor as a security camera. While it does support video recording for count verification, it was not designed with specific security features in mind, such as viewing angle.
The 3D SCOPE II Outdoor uses video analysis to identify human shapes and to count them. It does not recognize, record, or transmit any characteristics specific to an individual, such as gender, age, identity or any other personal details. People are simply counted as an “Adult” or a “Child”, based on their height and shape.
Optional video streaming, and on-board video recording is possible for validation purposes but is not required for traffic counting. For this reason, it is your responsibility to respect local laws regarding the use of video recording devices in your location when using these features. A common example is that you may need to mention that your customers are being filmed while they are in your location.
Data transmitted, and stored in our software platform is limited to the quantity of Adults and Children (optional) counts for a given period.
